Update 2.41: Select e-mail contacts & sync profile images

This update contains improvements for the Workspace 365 Email app. The previous updates focussed on improving our document solution to simplify SharePoint and OneDrive. From feedback sessions with customers, we learned that it is difficult for users to add attachments from SharePoint using the online mailbox in Office 365. In most cases you first have to install a plug-in. Because Workspace 365 simplifies adding or saving attachments to SharePoint a lot of companies choose for the Workspace 365 Email app. 

Simply save attachments from SharePoint without a plug-in

Saving an attachment to SharePoint isn’t new within Workspace 365. But as many people prefer our Email app compared to the Office 365 mail app it is good to show the simplicity. Just simply click on your right cursor, save as.. and choose the SharePoint or OneDrive location you want to save it to.

New: Contact book within the Workspace 365 Email app

From update 2.41 it is possible to add contacts straight from the Workspace 365 Email app. You can do this by simply clicking the ‘To, Cc or Bcc’ buttons. Then select the contacts and click on the ‘To, Cc or Bcc’ buttons to add them. This makes it even easier to mail contacts which are already stored in Office 365 or Exchange.

New: Which mail app do you choose?

As an admin we allow you to choose which mail app you use in the Live Email tile. Go to Apps management and simply pick the Outlook Web App or our Email app. Existing environments will keep directing to the Outlook Web App, new environments will direct users to the Workspace 365 Email app.

New: Azure AD Sync tool now syncs profile pictures

To keep the management of user on a central location it is possible to sync with Azure AD. Update 2.41 allows you to sync users, user groups, group member information and user profile pictures using our Azure AD Sync tool.
