Update 2.60 makes your workspace even safer and more organised. With conditional access you get the possibility to set up restrictions for accessing applications in your digital workspace. Also, you get quicker insight into your e-mail, because you can now set up yourself which mailboxes you’d like to see in the live tiles. Do you want to know more? Keep on reading. New: Conditional access
For safety reasons, sometimes you don’t want certain applications to be accessible from other networks than your company network or from certain browsers or devices. That is why digital workspace administrators now possess conditional access. With this, you are able to set up restrictions for reaching applications in the digital workspace. This way, you make sure that users can’t reach applications (shortcuts) that have already been set up for them and Citrix, Clientless RDP and Azure applications from certain networks, browsers or devices.
Consequently, you can prevent people from, for example, opening a patient file outside of the company network, opening an application that only works in Chrome in Internet Explorer and you can block sensitive information on mobile phones. Workspace 365 helps to better secure information and explains this to the people who need it.
How do you use conditional access?
As workspace admin you go to your Apps Management, click on the application and go to the tab Conditional Access. Here you can set the availability based on the device, browser or IP range. At this moment you have the following options:
Devices: Desktop (including notebook), Tablet and Mobile
Browsers: Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Microsoft Edge and Opera
IP Ranges: A single network and/or IP range (e.g. 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.1/24)
New: E-mail tabs
With some roles you manage multiple mailboxes, like for instance your own business e-mail, but also the shared mailbox of your department. It’s not convenient if all these mailboxes are in different locations and you have to reach them in different manner. That is why within Workspace 365 you can now set up multiple e-mail live tiles or multiple tabs within one e-mail live tile. This gives you the ability to not only view all your new e-mail messages in one glance from your digital workspace, but also to have access to your e-mails with just one click.
