Update 2.61 brings great news to all Workspace 365 Business App users. As we are happy to announce the Business App Live Tile. This will show data from your Business Apps directly on your workspace (e.g. Tasks, Contacts, Projects, Offers and more). In this update blog I’ll highlight some use cases and share our other new features. Do you have ideas for Workspace 365? Vote or submit a feature request!
New: Business App live tile (included in Ultimate)
As we want to simplify work, it is our goal to bring information to you. We believe in a dashboard which has the information, applications and documents which are relevant to you. Therefore, we now allow you to set a bigger tile size on your Business Apps. This will turn your Business Apps into live tiles. By doing this you can create overview on projects, quickly search a contact and easily edit your activities. As you can create a Business App for any process you can create your own live tiles and even link them to external applications. Discover more about the Workspace 365 Business Apps on this page.
You can search within the Business Apps and after clicking on a record it will show additional data. If you want to edit the data you can open the record at the bottom right which will bring you directly to the Business App record.
We love to enable people to create personalised workspaces without any IT-knowledge. That is why you can easily edit the tile and select the data which you’d like the Business App tile to show. As an admin you can ofcourse push this Business App live tile to a group or individual user.
New: Tooltip on small tiles and removal of plus button
In order to help people discover their tiles we’ve now added a tooltip when you hover on the 1×1 tiles. Furthermore, we’ve made additional design improvements by removing the plus button from the RSS live tile. Our UX researchers found out that the buttons weren’t used and it’s more logically to edit the RSS live tile from the edit mode. This brings even more overview to your workspace and news feeds.
New: Live tiles and tiles become one
It is now possible to set the sizing of your email and documents app to 1×1, 2×2 or 4×4. This allows you to create shortcuts to specific document locations, as well as creating live tiles for your documents and email.
Improvements: oAuth2 Single Sign-On
In order to provide you to the safest workspace possible, oAuth2 Single Sign-On is now the recommended and selected type. This will also allow you to set-up multi-factor authentication to your digital workspace, protecting your information, documents and applications. If you register a new environment it will be the default setting. Are you not using oAuth2 yet?
