New: Microsoft Teams live tile for quicker communication

What is Microsoft Teams?

Microsoft Teams is a group chat tool and one of Microsofts’ fastest growing applications.  Within Teams, you can easily chat with colleagues and you can easily create group chats in which you can share documents, statistics and other information with each other. You can also (video) call and share your screen and it’s available on any device.

What can you do with Microsoft Teams?

By using Microsoft Teams, you can communicate faster  and you reduce the amount of emails sent back and forth. Also, it enables you to easily keep track of progress with a Planner integration, so that action items from meetings are available to the entire team. While Yammer mainly focuses on interaction between large departments, Microsoft Teams is made for groups of employees. Read more about the differences between Yammer and Microsoft Teams here.

What can you do with the Microsoft Teams live tile?

With the new Microsoft Teams live tile, collaboration becomes even easier. With the live tile, you can directly navigate to the documents or the general channel of a team, both in Teams online and locally.

This way, when you’re looking for a document, you can quickly find a Team and directly open the documents in the Document app of Workspace 365.

In the old situation, you first have to open Microsoft Teams, find the right channel and then navigate to the documents. With the Workspace 365 Microsoft Teams live tile, you save time by searching directly from your workspace and clicking on what you need. This way, you easily switch between Microsoft Teams and the workspace and you always have your Teams chat channels and documents at hand from Workspace 365.

New: Move items between SharePoint sites and OneDrive for Business

From this update forward, it is possible for admins to activate the moving of items between SharePoint sites and/or OneDrive for Business on instance level. Due to this, the user can move files and folders between different SharePoint sites or between SharePoint sites and OneDrive for Business in your workspace.

Moving indicator Workspace 365 (1)

When files or folders are being moved between SharePoint sites, you get a notification in your home bar to show you if the process is still going. This is especially useful when you’re moving large files or folders. Because of the notification, you stay updated on the status and you get a notification when the move is completed.

New language: Swedish – Välkommen Sverige

With the increasing internationalisation and more and more foreign partners, it is important to add more languages. Because of this, people get an adaptive workspace in their own language, that allows them to understand more quickly.

Several foreign partners (such as VETA) are operating in Sweden. To support these partners and their customers, Workspace 365 will now also be available in Swedish.
