Where in update 2.52 the focus was mostly on mobile, in update 2.53 the biggest focus is on making the interface even clearer and more user friendly, both on desktop and mobile. For example, there are improvements in the mobile use of the Business Apps and importing Office 365 groups. Do you have ideas for Workspace 365? Let us know or vote for a feature request.
New: More functionalities with Business Apps on mobile
In our previous update we already made great progression on our mobile workspace. This update brings new improvements for the mobile experience and functionality. As of now you can also use all the Business Apps on your mobile phone. This means that you can create a task and keep up your mileage registration on the go or call in sick from your bed. This way you can work even more mobile and productively.
Tip: Make a shortcut from your mobile home screen to your Workspace 365 environment.
New: Edit tiles without leaving your dashboard
Workspace 365 is all about making processes faster and easier, and that is exactly what we did in this update. Before you had to leave the dashboard to change the color, name, link of the icon of the tile. This is no longer necessary – editing a tile is now possible directly in the overview, with the help of a fold-out menu on the left side of the screen.
New: View information faster with the tooltip
With the new tooltip you immediately see a line of information by simply hovering your cursor over the name or subject line of an e-mail, news item, tile name or document. Because of this you do not have to open them to see the complete titles or subject lines.
New: Add attachments to e-mail from the WebDAV-SSL/fileserver
One of the most powerful possibilities of Workspace 365 is to bring together your file server, SharePoint and OneDrive into one user-friendly file. As of this update, it is also possible to add documents as an e-mail attachment from both your mailbox as a document file.
Improvement: easier user import with Office 365 groups
As of update 2.53, it is possible to import users based on Office 365 groups. This means that it has become easier to import the desired users to Workspace 365, especially when it comes to large groups. Before, each Office 365 group user had to be manually selected to add them to Workspace 365. Furthermore, for large environments it is of course also possible to synchronize with Azure AD to keep user management central.
