Great news: we have extended and improved our Activity Feed and Global Search function , enabling you to get more insight into your new emails and find your contacts more quickly. As you might know from our previous updates we are creating more Micro Apps, that is why we released another ERP-Micro App, bringing tasks and signals to your adaptive workspace. Keep on reading to discover more!

Emails in your Activity Feed

We are bringing a new type of notification to your Activity Feed! Do you want to be more aware of new emails coming in? It’s now possible to set up that you will receive a notification in your Activity Feed, every time you get a new email. From there, you can instantly open the email in your preferred email client, like the Workspace 365 Email App or the Outlook Web App.

This option brings more possibilities to customise your notifications in the Activity Feed, exactly how you want them and on what you want to be notified. Keep in mind that you can also use our Activity Feed API to connect to thousands of applications. By doing this you can unite all your notifications in one central location.

Find the person you need with Global Search

This update brings a great addition to the Global Search functionality. In order to streamline collaboration, with colleagues as well as people from outside your organisation, we have added people to the Global Search functionality.

Simply search for a name, function title, the organisation a person works for or any other information that is stored on your contact. When you’ve found the person you were looking for, you can instantly open and view all their information in the Contacts sidebar. With one click you can call them, send an email, navigate to them and more.

This is particularly useful if you work in a large organisation or work from home and you don’t know who to contact about your HR questions. You’ll simply open Global Search, type in HR and you will see a list of contacts that you can reach out to.

Responsive embedded tile groups

Did you know that you can integrate Workspace 365 tile groups in other platforms or intranets as well? That way, you can benefit from Workspace 365 functionalities and settings for applications, such as Clientless RDP, Single Sign-On and Conditional Access, and use it in your current platform. You are able to manage your applications from Workspace 365 while allowing people to access them in the portal they now use.

From now on, we support a responsive mode for these embedded tile groups. This means that tiles will automatically scale, based on the frame they’re in. This makes them easier to work with and they’ll automatically adjust to fit perfectly into any other platform.

AFAS Micro App

Get insight into your AFAS tasks and signals, without even opening the application. With the new AFAS Micro App, you can unite your most important information from your business processes, including CRM, HRM and ERP, with all other apps and information.

AFAS offers one software package to optimise and automate all your administrative processes. Besides the aforementioned areas, AFAS can for example also be used for Finance, Projects and Workflow management.

What can you do with the AFAS Micro App?

The AFAS Micro App includes two new live tiles: Tasks and Signals. With these live tiles, you can see and open any new tasks and signals straight from your dashboard. These are completely personalised to you and your work.

In the tasks app, Finance can for instance include incoming expense claims, while Operations can see when they need to supply an employee with a company vehicle. Some examples of notifications in the Signals live tile could be for an HR employee to see when it’s someone’s anniversary at the company, or for Finance when a debtor has reached a certain balance of outstanding costs.

More Micro Apps for a better overview

We are hard at work on new Micro Apps to bring tasks and information to your workspace, so you have everything you need in one place and don’t need to switch between applications anymore. Which Micro App do you want to see next? Submit your idea or vote on a Micro App in our Support Portal.
