We see that our customers use Workspace 365 as a digital workplace and intranet in one. Both communication and information managers use their digital workspace to focus on the digital employee experience and that is why this update will improve the intranet functionalities within Workspace 365.
Extended address book with the new department filter
Finding colleagues in your address book never has been easier than it is right now! In a previous update we created three new filters to save people time while they are looking for the right person in their organisation.
Now, we’ve added a new filter where you’ll easily find all the people working in a specific department. Since COVID-19 entered our lives, most organisations have switched to a mobile workforce. This also impacts how we collaborate. As taking a casual stroll to the office to find a colleague that is willing to help might not be possible anymore. That is why we now allow you to filter contacts on departments. So, when you type in ‘’sales’’ in the search bar in the address book, it will show you all the people working in sales in your organisation.
This department information will also be shown in your personal card in the address book. We hope that this will help people working from their home to find the person that they need to accomplish their goals.

Receive notifications for shares folders/files in SharePoint
The option to share files and folders from SharePoint is not new in the workspace. However, we made it easier to see what file was shared with you and where you can find this.
Now, you will receive a notification whenever someone shared a file or folder from SharePoint with you in the workspace. This notification will pop up in the Activity Feed in your workspace as ‘’person A shared filename.doc with you.’’. This feature will reduce the time that you search for document that was recently shared with you and will improve collaboration with colleagues.

Show tooltip on card tiles in the App Store
In update 3.39 we shared the new App Store feature allowing you to add tiles to your workspace from the app store. With some applications it was still hard to see the full name of the application. We listened to your feedback and now, when you hover on the application with your mouse, you’ll see the full title of the application.
